Rarely a day goes by that I don't try to capture how being a mom has given me life, slayed me, and raised me up again in poems scrawled in my (ridiculous amount of ) journals and notebooks I keep in my purse, car, and of course, under my bed.
And now I'm ready to share. Dear Mother: Poems on (the hot mess of) Motherhood comes out this spring: April 2
It's a collection of poems for and about anyone who has loved a child so intensely it burns. I cover the highs, lows, the laughter, pregnancy loss, marriage, and everything in between. I hope you like it.
I hope it keeps you warm on those cold days where you're wondering how everyone else makes it looks so easy (lies). And most of all, I hope it makes you feel less alone on this journey with a small hand in yours.
Dear Mother will be in a bookstore near you, but you can preorder it if you feel so inclined below.
Thanks for still being here. I know some of you guys have been with me from the Honest Toddler days.
love always, Bunmi
