This morning I asked God what He would like me to read and when He brought me to Nehemiah 7, a section with a bunch of names and numbers, I thought I'd made a mistake.
He's taught me over time to wait a little, to read and listen to Him before taking rash action so I read.
This section is a register of many of the men of Israel who had returned to Jerusalem amd Judah from Babylonian captivity under King Nebuchadnezzar years and years prior.
I read through the names.
