He Wants to Know You
Updated: 6 days ago

Dear friend,
Autumn is almost here. Like so many people, I love fall. It feels like as the air grows a bit crisper, hoodies & sweaters come out, as all kinds of soups start being in the regular rotation on the stove again, life starts to slow down.
Summer is exciting and feels like reliving childhood again: late afternoons at the skate park, ice cream whenever and wherever, but fall...it feels like a soft, warm quilt one tumbles into after the months of carefree summer chaos.
I took last month off from recording, but knew it was time yesterday to begin again. I asked Abba what He wanted to say: what He wanted to share from people in my circle from His heart through my mouth.
And what came was, "Jesus wants to know you."
We all know the verse, "Away from Me, I never knew you, worker or iniquity." It sometimes makes people shiver with worry about the terrible, bone-chilling possibility of being turned away from the Shepard, the Messiah, on that day.
But what God wants you to know, what Jesus wants you to understand is that He wants to know you.
It's not Him who decides to never know us. That choice is ours alone.
In this episode, I share the heart of Jesus for knowing you. Yes you. You specifically.
It always amazes me how He can care about so many people. If you have a relatively low social battery (as I do), the idea of maintaining relationships with millions of people is unfathomable.
Just managing the emotional climate of my family takes all of me.
But He can. And. He does. And He wants to know you. Truly.
It has to be you who lets Him in.
In this episode of God of Miracles, I share how you can say yes, let Him in to your life, and meld your heart with His. You can talk to Him, laugh with Him, learn from Him, Jesus can be your friend as well as Savior.
His heart is beautiful, steadfast, and surprising.
In this episode, I also share the common barriers people experience when it comes to getting close to Jesus, letting Him in, and how to leap over them into His arms.
He's worth it. He will help you, too. He's knocking.
"My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me." John 10:27
Let Him in.
love, Bunmi

I have a new Middle Grade fiction series called David's Diary about a rambunctious and funny middle schooler after God's own heart.
He's like if King David were a kid. A bit messy, but doing his best and learning every day to be more like Jesus.
