Letting God Lead

Dear friend,

If you ask most people if they practice witchcraft, unless they proudly do, they'd say no.

But that's not always true. The other day I watched a video from an amazing woman of God about how control and manipulation are the most common forms of witchcraft that people practice unknowingly. It aligned exactly with what God was asking me to share.

At its core, witchcraft is about wielding will-twisting power to see one's desired outcome outside of the authority of God.

Whether it's about controlling people, people's perceptions, or manufacturing an outcome God hasn't breathed His YES on, it's saying "my will be done on earth" Sometimes, people of God don't realize when they're venturing into these waters.

It's easy to spiritualize this and believe that if it looks like it's for God, "end justifies the means." It does not.

Control and manipulation can seem like a necessary means, but God is wanting His people to let Him lead if they want to live in the miraculous and see the things they've been praying for come to pass.

Jesus will never grab the wheel from us. He waits for us to let go and let Him lead.

In this episode I share what God taught me about how control & manipulation aren’t His will for us. God knows control is exhausting and breeds strange fruit. He knows it comes from a place of fear and identities rooted in the external.

"My sheep know My voice." Will you follow Him above your own fears, desires, and insecurities?

He wants to guide us if we’ll let Him.

I share how God had to teach me to unlearn bad habits of manipulation and control in my marriage and with my kids. He wants to free all of His children.

When you truly let Him lead, He will amaze you with what He does in your family's life, church, and with your children.

Bonus: I also share what He showed me about how those in challenging spiritual environments like Canada can resist the control and manipulation that tempts from the air.

How Staying Focused Keeps You Afloat

In the last post I wrote about how in the story of Nehemiah, two men called Sanballat and Tobiah were instantly disturbed by Nehemiah's plan to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem.

Then they laughed and accused Nehemiah of doing wrong. Nehemiah didn't fight them or go on a tirade defending himself. His answer to his newly formed panel of agitators was to state his unmoving faith in God. Even as they spread falsehoods against Nehemiah, he prevailed. How? He kept his eyes on the One who had given him his project. Focus will keep you on track and even in joy as you work. Keep reading.

Rejecting Every False Prophecy/Curse & Choosing God's Vision

When Sanballat and his buddies realized he could not attack Nehemiah's body, they tried to attack his mind with accusations. When they realized the attacks on the mind did not work, they tried to attack his spirit by having him come into physical agreement with false prophecy of imminent attack and death ("they will come and kill you").

What has been falsely prophesied over your work? That it's not a good time to start? That the economy isn't good enough? That no one will like your work? That it will fail? That you're not the one to do it? The enemy cannot physically make you stop but he will try to discourage and discredit you. Come out of agreement with any false prophetic word and come into agreement God's sight for your project. Keep reading.
